Daisy

Daisy has a pretty smile but she
Sits around and thinks a while
About how they're always hollering her name
They tell her 'bout her smoldering eyes
And how they want between her thighs
And Daisy is just such a sexy name
She has that look but told them twice she's not old enough to be that nice
She's twelve with an eighteen year old disguise
So they push her and they beg to see
What's above and what's underneath
You don't look twelve you're old enough for me
And that pretty smile is something that I can't leave
Well Daisy was just split in two
When a guy in his Malibu pulled up
He whistled out and honked his horn
He stayed right near her for a while
Said "Darlin's got a pretty smile"
And she ran away as fast as she could go
She kissed her mom and hugged her dad
'Cause she 'bout had a heart attack
She didn't know if she would even make it home
But still they push her and they beg to see
What's above and what's underneath
You don't look twelve you're old enough for me
And that pretty smile is something that I can't leave
They wont leave her be or let it go
Even though that smile that said "hello"
Still hasn't lost all of its baby teeth
Said "you want it too stop speaking so softly"

Coast
02:33

I went to the coast to see if I can make a home
And as the waves were crashing I was wishing for a stepping stone
I went to the sea to see if anything would find me
But all I got was sand and some floating debris
I went to the coast 'cause everybody told me that's where I should go
But the place I'm from has cut my tongue that's stuck inside of my throat
if anyone is here I'd like to speak clearly now
If anyone is there just tell them I'm still around
I went to the coast to see if I could make a home
But I've lost some blood I have cut my chest to the bone
I got on a plane to see if anything had changed
My heart was there and he pushed the hair from my face
If anyone is there I'd like you to know
That my heart ain't here i'm going home

Dry
02:30
|
|||
I'm told that when I get a feeling
I have to ride that feeling out
And if the sky is falling
Just keep an umbrella around
Because a rapid stream of emotion is sure for a minor hit
But despite these beats and measures I don't think I'm feeling it
There's a capitol inside me that's
Rioting to the ground
And there's a missile in my throat
That i'm barely choking down
There's a planetary shuffle
That's gotten me out of line
But I swear in better weather that i'll be fine
I'm told that when I get to thinking
I have to just block it out
And if I dare to get to speaking
I've made a left turn somehow
But I've thought myself to aching
And I've talked my tongue dry
And I'm left with that same feeling I let pass by

Dead Moon Eyes

|

Dead moon eyes and a southern drawl
I can't tell nothing without spilling it all
But I'll tell you anything that you want to hear
Dead end train and a cattle stall
Your secret's safe so long as I cant recall
But I can't and I won't
Because I don't remember nothing
No I can't no I won't
Because I haven't heard it right

Down Time
01:48
|

I don't have an ounce of time
In this half full coffee cup of mine
But if you just let me bend some spoons
I'm sure that I'll find some time for you
Could've guessed these waves
Would carry me so far
Sunglasses gaze on
A real slow start
You have my heart
